strawberries, babies, and surgery

We had a great weekend with Shaun's parents. We went up on Friday night and stayed til last night. Spencer and Andrew got to do all kinds of fun things...ride the 4 wheeler that Ainsley got for her birthday, pet and feed the horses, pick strawberries, and most importantly...get spoiled absolutely rotten by Gran and Papa.

The strawberry picking was fun...we got to ride on a golf cart to the place where they grew the strawberries and pick away.

They were sooooo good!! They just melted in your mouth. We brought our own bowl to put the strawberries in and when it got full...there was still the urge to pick more because everyone you saw looked so red and ripe and delicious! I haven't picked strawberries since I was a kid so I really didn't remember how fun it was. Needless to say, both Spencer and I had a good time. Spencer definitely had a good time saying, "one more" and throwing the strawberries in the bowl for us.

It was good to relax this weekend and have a good time with family. I thought I had taken more pictures but I guess I didn't. Oh well...

We've also spread the word that we're having another baby! I'm sure everyone that reads this knows by now...news definitely travels fast! I've known for about 3 weeks that I was pregnant...not quite sure why I waited so long to tell everyone...just one of those things. We've got a lot to get done over the next 6 months...new car-3 car seats won't fit in the back seat of a mid-sized vehicle...new house-not quite sure how we could fit 3 kids in this little apartment...makes me nervous just thinking about it. We're excited though...this is how we wanted it. If we are going to have kids...we're going to have them. At least we waited a little longer this time :) I was talking to Brandon (who's down at the beach at Bike Week) today and told him the news and he said he would make sure to let me know if someone traded in a 15 passenger van for a motorcycle...he would save the van for me. It's not that bad yet...but we are definitely going to have to get a new car.

Well...we went to the doctor today and Andrew is definitely going to have to have surgery. We want to wait until after we go on vacation before we do anything. The specialist told us that they just didn't know and couldn't tell exactly from all the tests that they've done what this "thing" is on the back of his knee. On some of the images it looks like it's attached and some of them, it doesn't. So the solution is to go into his knee and remove the "thing". Surgery is surgery, so it makes me a little nervous about having it done, but if it will help him to grow and develop normally without any pain, I'm all for it. If you could, just keep him in your prayers. We just want the best for him and want to make sure that this is the right decision that we need to make.

I hope all of you mother's had a great Mother's Day, especially you Mom! I definitely did. Shaun is still spoiling me...lol...sure! Anyways...hope y'all have a great Tuesday!

We are so happy for you!! Now I can compare pains and concerns with someone who is experiencing it too. We wanted to wait to tell everyone, but we just couldn't. I hope you have a very healthy pregnancy and baby. Love ya!!
