checkup, movie, & scooter

We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Friday, Carson had his 6 month checkup. He weighed almost 18 pounds and was in the 50th percentile for weight...and in the 90th percentile for height. Here he is with Dr. Hamzy. This is really the only time he cried when I was getting ready to take his picture...what's up with that?? He's the only one that doesn't really cry time he sees the doctor...or nurse in Andrew's case...coming. Carson just doesn't know quite yet all the events that take place at a checkup, including shots. After the checkup, we went and saw Shrek 3 and it was a cute movie. The boys did excellent...including Carson. He cried during the first preview because the loud noise caught him off guard during his nap, but after that he kinda enjoyed watching the movie :)

Yesterday we went to my Grandmother's around dinner time and had some good bbq and hot dogs and all the fixings that go along with it. THANK YOU!! Spencer and Andrew had a blast riding on his Great-Grandaddy's "motorcycle" :) This was a treat because he usually only brings it out for "special occasions". I think he's had that scooter for about 5 years now and it only has about 200 miles on it. Spencer kept on telling Grandaddy, "one more time around the church please". Shaun took over after Spencer finally let Grandaddy go inside to get something to eat and took Andrew for a little ride. I think the expression on Andrew's face let us know if he enjoyed it or not.

And here's Andrew patiently waiting his turn...he sure does have to be a patient little fella to put up with Spencer being "the boss" all the time.

The boys are so sweet when they're getting ready to go to bed. Andrew had 7 hot wheels cars and one big(ger) car nestled in his hands to sleep with when he got in bed. Not quite sure how comfortable hot wheels cars are to cuddle with, but they sure do make my boys happy :)
