In our little garage apartment, we had 10 foot ceilings and it made it feel a little more spacious. And we were able to get a tall Christmas tree. When we moved into my mom's house, the ceilings are 8 foot, and Shaun thought that if we got too tall of a tree, it would touch the ceiling ... so we ended up with this little tree, with definitely plenty of room to spare :)
Just so you all can get an idea of how little this Christmas tree is, I've taken the boys picture in front of it and they are almost as tall as it is. And the picture with me in it, I look like a giant. I guess that's what we get for waiting til the last minute to find the {perfect...or not so perfect} Christmas tree. At least the branches were evenly spaced :) I loved how excited they were when we were picking out the Christmas tree at Lowe's. Andrew gave the "yes" sign with his fist, Spencer was grinning from ear to ear, and Carson was running around giggling...as usual. And they all had to ask me to feel their muscles after they had "carried" the Christmas tree ... since they are so much stronger than I am ;)
The boys could almost reach the top of the Christmas tree for once, yet almost all of the ornaments seemed to hover around the bottom couple of branches, and were placed in clumps. With a little tweaking and rearranging, we kinda got it sorted out. They had fun decorating though, so that's all that matters.
I just love the glow of the Christmas tree at night. And the boys love plugging it up right when they wake up in the morning. So we have a glowing Christmas tree all day...except when we leave, and we unplug it. Considering how late we purchased our Christmas tree, I'm assuming that the tree is almost dead, so we better not set ourselves up for a fire hazard.
Hope you all are enjoying your decorations as much as we are :)
