Spencer turned 6 earlier in the month...and all he talked about was having a Clemson birthday party. We are still unsure about where he got his obsession about Clemson from, but we have an inkling that it spawned from a little girl at school who likes Clemson. He considers himself a die hard fan now and it doesn't even matter to him that the rest of his family is for Carolina and gives him a hard time about it. I remember though as a child liking Clemson because my brother liked Carolina. So maybe that's where he gets some of it too ☺ He wanted to have a Clemson birthday party and I hate to admit that I tried to discourage him from having a party because it seemed like it was going to get out of control with all the people he wanted to invite. When I told him it might be a little expensive to throw a party, he looked at me and told me I could use some of his money to have the party... So the only way we could deter his little mind from the party
was Shaun got the genius idea of taking him to Clemson and letting him see the actual Clemson football stadium. Our trip was scheduled for last weekend but I ended up being treated for the flu and strep throat so it had to be postponed. We went this past weekend and 3 little boys were in hog heaven. From the tiger paws in the road, to seeing the stadium, to all the quaint little stores in the heart of Clemson with endless amount of orange and purple, Spencer thought it was pure bliss. He had wanted a Clemson football helmet for his birthday, but we couldn't find just the helmet. So a little store had just what he wanted and he was able to spend his birthday money to get the helmet. He loved it so much he wanted to wear it down the sidewalk with all these people I'm sure looking at him like he was crazy. But he was happy...☺Here's a few things about Spencer that I want to remember...
*He never gets tired of playing hot wheels
*He loves playing Super Mario Brothers
*Obvious...he's obsessed with Clemson right now...
*He loves to make little notes all the time that say "I love you Mom" or "I love you Dad"
*He is doing really well in school...he has gotten green all year and prays every night that he won't get on yellow ☺
*He loves his brothers and at the same time, wants to start wrestling and fighting with them over the littlest things
*He doesn't like drinking or eating after ANYONE and doesn't like the last bite of things...
*He just started liking "cow milk" this year. I think it's from starting school and they didn't have the option of soy milk...
*He could probably eat 10 eggs at the time if I would let him. He LOVES eggs...
Happy {belated public notice} Birthday to one little fellow that makes his family happy (most of the time ☺)!!
