atlanta temple open house

We had planned to go to the Atlanta Temple open house months before it was starting.  Things kept coming up weekend after weekend and we weren’t able to plan our trip until the end of April…almost at the end of the open house.  Shaun went online to get tickets and the only tickets we could get were at 8:00 in the morning on that Friday…so we got up a trip as quick as we could to go and set out with my mom that Thursday night.  Everything just happened so quickly and so smoothly, we felt purely blessed.  We were able to get a rental car for a fraction of the price we were going to have to pay, we stayed at the Westin a few minutes from the temple for a fraction of the cost per night, and had an amazing spiritual experience that I don’t feel like I was prepared to have.  The temple was beautiful!!  The outside grounds were manicured immaculately and the inside was exquisite!  The spirit was felt so strongly there and I was so glad that I was able to share what the inside of the temple looks like with my boys.  They always are asking what the temple looks like inside…and now they have had that experience.  And I am so grateful!!

I am so glad that we got to share this experience with the boys!  Hopefully they will remember the spirit they felt years down the road!  I know I will!

I LOVE the pictures! Ben and I were married there, so I really wish we could have gone.

What a great experience for you and your family! That was the first temple I ever visited (to do baptisms).
