My sister in law, Janette, told me about Keva blocks a couple of years ago. They looked really neat, but were a little on the pricey side. Well…before Christmas, we went to Costco and saw CitiBlocs that looked like the Keva Blocks and looked like you could make the same kinds of things. And they were only $9.99 for a box of 300, so we bought 3 boxes.
THE . BEST . INVESTMENT . EVER!!
And looking back, I would have paid the expensive price had I known the kids would get this much use out of them. They play with them everyday, and sometimes hours on end. They see how tall they can make their buildings. They use them as fences for their animals. They use them for building war ships. They use them for cannons and forts. They use them for everything. Now having said that, if you come over any given day unannounced, you will probably trip over a thousand blocks and little green army men, and dollar tree cowboys and Indians, and their favorite…Revolutionary War Redcoats and Bluecoats. But these toys get their brains working and their creativity flowing. I’m tempted to give all of their other toys away…LOL!
Here’s some of their creations:
They even got creative and realized that some of the spaces between the bricks would hold the blocks up and they built platforms…

This is awesome! I LOVE seeing all of their creations. These blocks look like something we would enjoy here for sure!
Awesome is definitely the word here! I'm beginning to think we need to invest, also... the girls would play for ours if I can keep Connor from using them as missiles. Isn't homeschooling grand? Your kids actually have time for creative play :) Probably my favorite part!
