Well...I guess this blog thing is catching on pretty fast. I saw Ashley's blog and I have some of the same reasons for starting this as she did. It does seem like a great way to keep in touch with family and friends without having to email everyone...wait...I don't really email anyone. So this is a great idea. Anyways...we'll try it out.
Today was quite the eventful day. We went to the doctor with Andrew for only the fourth time for the same thing - ear infections. He still has a little fluid in his ears so she wants to see him again on Friday to see if we need to start the fourth dose of antibiotics. I sure hope that his ears clear up soon so we can have the happy baby that we always knew Andrew would be. Some days are rough :)
Spencer is definitely starting to go through the terrible twos. We went to the tire place this morning to get a new tire because we had a flat on Sunday, and at first I had to nudge him to go in the door because he was acting shy. Once he noticed there were toys and blocks inside...and even better...a picture of a train on one of the storage containers...he warmed up a little to his surroundings. We waited to get the tire fixed and when the lady came in and said they were done, I told Spencer to let's get the toys put up. He put up a little fight and I was quite firm in that we needed to go so we could make it to Andrew's doctor's appointment on time. Well...then he decided he was going to pick up one of the blocks and throw it at me. I was quite shocked and didn't know how to handle the situation. So I grabbed his hand firmly and we walked out the door. I'm sure I'm in for more embarrassment in the years to come. He's into this thing now that if you tell him no, he'll clasp his hands together and scream at the top of his lungs. That usually gets him a trip to the corner...which he's become quite accustomed to going to the corner by himself. He knows the corner upstairs and the one downstairs...as well as the one at Grandmother's house. Sometimes I have to hold back the laughter because he goes so gracefully.
Spencer and Andrew are really good boys most of the time. I'm really blessed...they are both loving and the best part of my day sometimes is cuddling them in the morning when they wake up. We have fun. And they sure are good sports to go shopping with me. Well I guess I've written a book for my first entry. But this web site is good for writing down events that are so easily forgotten as the days go by. And I can definitely type faster than I can write. Hope all is well with everyone.
