On Wednesday Andrew went in for his bone scan. Shaun went with me and I'm so glad he did! We got to Richland Hospital around 8 in the morning, went through admissions, then headed up to the Nuclear Medicine place. They ran an IV in him to put the fluid in, took a couple of pictures and then we left until about 11. When we got back, they took some more pictures of his knee and that was it. Tonight when we had gotten back from shopping around 10, there was a message on our phone from the orthopedic doctor, Dr. Guy, saying for us to call him. We had an appointment on Tuesday with him, I thought to get the results from the bone scan. But Dr. Guy was just calling to let us know that he had seen the results from the bone scan and there was some activity around the growth plate on his knee. Shaun and I were both really impressed that he called us at 9:00 on a Friday night to let us know. I'm sure he was working in the hospital...but still...that was awesome that he called! If anyone needs an orthopedic doctor, I definitely recommend him. He seems to be on top of things. He said that he wanted to schedule an MRI for Monday and then we might have to put a cast on Andrew's left leg for a week or so to keep him from moving it so they can determine what it is. I hate the guessing game but what else are we supposed to do. Poor Andrew can't tell us what's wrong with his little knee. Anyways...so that's the update on Andrew.
Spencer's update is that he's definitely going through the terrible twos right now. The thing that seems to occupy his time the most is having to get called down and stand in the corner for hitting Andrew or pushing him down. I don't know what to do to get him to stop. It was so funny this morning...Spencer had found his easter basket and there were a couple of pieces of chocolate left. He decided to eat them. Well then I told him not to eat anymore and I took the one that he had already started to peel the wrapper off of from him, he pitched a royal fit. I called Shaun and told him that there's no more candy for Spencer for a while. If he acts that horribly because he can't have chocolate...as a 2 year old...who knows what he's going to be like as a teenager or adult. I also made it a point to call Mom to let her know that Spencer is on a candy drought for a while. CRAZY!!
Anyways...Mom and I are going to try to get up early and go to some yard sales in the morning, so I better get to bed! I guess to not have too much happen this week I sure did write a lot :) Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Here' s a couple of pictures of Spencer helping put fish sticks on a pan.
He thinks because Shaun uses the potholder to take the pan out of the oven, you also have to use it to put stuff on the pan as well.
