On Saturday, Shaun and his two brothers Scott and Justin worked on our house downtown. The front porch was just about rotted out, so they replaced it. It looks a hundred times better. Here's some before (left) and after (right) pictures.
I missed having Shaun around on Saturday but I'm glad they got some needed work done on the house. Scott had to go home early because his little girl was sick so we took Justin back to his house in Charlotte Saturday night. It was a nice little ride. We were going to stop by one of the malls on the way back but we decided to come on home, and I'm glad we did because about 10 minutes after we pulled into the driveway, the rain and the storms rolled in.
Yesterday we went to the Camden ward to see Ethan give a talk. The program included all the kids that had graduated from early morning seminary and Ethan was one of those. I thought he did a great job. When I talked to Valencia that afternoon at my Grandmother's house for Sunday lunch, she said that he gave only a fourth of his talk that he had prepared. She had printed all this stuff off the internet for his talk and he didn't use any of it. Oops. He's still a cutie!
I miss the nice weather that we had a month or so ago...hardly any humidity and cool temps. The past week or so with all the rain and heat has just made me a little unmotivated to do too much. I need to get over it though because I'm in for a lot more heat during the summer :) I went to WalMart today to get a couple of groceries and I just about sweated to death trying to get the groceries in the car and both boys in their car seats buckled up. And it wasn't that hot...
