Monday we took a trip to "Nana's" work...I had to fax a couple of things and Spencer and Andrew had a blast turning each other around and around in Nana's chair. They got into EVERYTHING though so we had to make it a short trip.
Here's Andrew holding on for dear life while Spencer sees how fast the chair will fly. There weren't any customers in there at the time, or they wouldn't have been able to be so WILD!We went to the park with Shannon, Katie, and Eli on Wednesday. I forgot my camera, I guess it really didn't matter because of all the park pictures we've taken before. Andrew was really clingy and when we got there at first, there was a preschool group that had come and Spencer was scared of all the "big" kids, so he was right beside me as well. I guess they do look a little intimidating running around and screaming like wild animals. After they left, he got a little more comfortable and had a blast sliding down the big slide all by himself. It was so darn hot we only stayed an hour or so. It's been a scorcher the past few days!
Yesterday we went to the zoo with Jenny, Shannon, Katie and Eli. We had planned the trip on Monday or Tuesday and I kept telling Spencer that on Thursday we would be able to go see the animals at the zoo. He mentioned it every chance he got and I kept saying it wasn't Thursday yet. So yesterday morning when he woke up I told him that it was Thursday and asked him what we were going to be able to do today. He got all excited and screamed out, "See animals at zoo". He was excited all morning! Time he got out of bed he took his pj's off and started looking for clothes in his closet to put on. He rushed through breakfast and tried to go outside to get in the car at least 7 or 8 times. He's so funny!

Yesterday was another extremely hot day! I, along with Shannon and Jenny, probably sweated at least 5 pounds off. The boys and girl had fun though regardless. I finally got Andrew to sit on a couple of the photo ops at the zoo, although he takes after Shaun and tried to hide his face everytime I tried to take the picture. We got a couple of close shots though.
When Andrew gets overly tired, the best thing for him to do is fall asleep. I know we have a couple of pictures posted like this already but it's just so funny how fast he can fall asleep. We went in to see the penguins and I looked and he was out. After we went to the zoo, Jenny and I went and ate some lunch at one of my faves, Moe's Grill. I ate a whole burrito this time with no hesitatation. I guess the heat just makes you hungry :) Spencer ate good too for a change. We were going to go swimming at my uncle's pool but we got there and they must have forgotten we were coming and hadn't cut the pool cleaner thing on. So we scrapped that idea and headed back to the house. It sure would have been a great day to go for a swim as hot as it was. Oh well...there's always another day! Jenny had left her car at grandmother's house so we dropped her off and stayed there for a little while so the boys could ride on the golf cart. It's funny that golf cart was Andrew's first word. Time we drive up to her house Andrew starts saying, "ride golf cart" and then Spencer starts chiming in. Andrew's just about talking as well as Spencer is. :)
When we left there, we came back to the house and I decided to wash the car, and Spencer wanted to stay outside for a little while longer so he helped me. I would wash and he would rinse. He got me a couple of times with the water, but to tell you the truth, it felt quite good. I was still hot at 8:00 last night. It was either the humidity or just me being hot at all times. Not quite sure.Grandmother called me this morning and they were headed down to the beach and told us to come down there for a day or so. I was tempted and even got most of our clothes and stuff ready to go, but then I decided not to. There's a few things going on this weekend that I need to be at, so we'll just have to catch them next time.
Well I hope all of you had a good week. I had vowed I was going to try to keep up my blog a little better and more often, but I have been going to bed rather early lately and it seems at night is about the only time I can do anything without having to keep up with the boys. They're both taking their nap at the same time today, thank goodness, so I had a moment to catch up. Anyways...if anything else exciting happens over the weekend we'll be sure to let you know.
Oh...Andrew's surgery has been rescheduled for next Thursday, June 29. He has to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m....how insane is that. So that's that. Have a great weekend!

Good luck tomorrow. Not so sure that's the right lingo but just know we're thinking of Andrew...
