Here's the boys playing with the trucks and cars we brought for them to play with in our little "chalet" that we were able to stay in...thanks to Shaun's parents! It was nice to have a kitchen area we could cook in every once in a while so we didn't have to go out and eat every meal.

Shaun and the boys at a RR monument we saw on our Sunday driving excursion to Tennessee.

Spencer and Andrew "waiting for the train". I was surprised I got them to stay there that long to get a couple of pictures.
I had to put this one in here...Shaun coming out of a nasty portajohn on our drive through the mountains...He just "couldn't hold it any more...." I think I could have...and I'm pregnant :)

Spencer enjoying the view...we thought him being in the building looking at the overlook scenery was a lot safer than having him outside looking at it. Heights just scare me with little kids.
Andrew enjoying the scenery...and if you look really close you can see a waterfall in the right hand corner. It was awesome!

Spencer absolutely loved looking at all the golf carts outside our window at the place we stayed at. There was a golf course right in front, and he was obsessed with everything that went on....from the golf carts, to the lawnmowers that cut the grass..."wanna see mo golf cart", "wanna see mo lawnmowers". That was the first thing he said in the morning when he looked out the blinds. I think Shaun even got the fever to want to start playing golf after watching all the people playing
One of the highlights of our trip was going to Tweetsie Railroad, a little above Boone in Blowing Rock, NC. They had the "Day out with Thomas" day. There were TONS of kids there enjoying seeing the "real" Thomas. Spencer and Andrew were no exception.
Here's Spencer with "Spencer the Train". It was just a wall hanging just for him...j/k :)

Me and Andrew riding the train...fun, fun. We were sitting behind this lady who had a little girl about Andrew's age and she threw her play cell phone off the train while we were going along...oops! The lady was just glad it wasn't her cell phone she had just tossed over :)
Spencer was so cute...he wanted his daddy's hand holding on to the handle right beside his. . Shaun would drop his hand occasionally and Spencer would make sure he was "holding on" by gently putting his hand back up there.
Here's the train we were riding going through the mountains.
On one of the train stops, there was a surprise awaiting us...Indians!
They caused a little bit of trouble with some of the "good guys" riding on our train, and even came on our train cars. They looked a little scary! They definitely got Spencer and Andrew's attention! Here's one of the Indians that came running through our train car.Well...thanks to dialup it's taken me over an hour to get this much of our trip documented...I'll have to start up tomorrow with the rest of the pictures. I'm getting a little sleepy and that bed sure looks inviting! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Looks like you had a great trip. From the looks of the pics it was cooler there than it was here. This heat...I just can't take it! Glad you had a good vacation. Hope all goes well this week with Andrew. Love ya, Tonya
Hey, glad to see you back. Hope you guys had a wonderful trip. I have always loved the mtns. We took Emma and Trent to see "Thomas" in Oct 2005. He was in Spencer, NC then. Emma had a ball. It is a very neat thing!! I want to take them back when Trent gets a little bigger. Anyways, talk to ya later.
