a few weeks worth

We're back ... I guess you could say ... from a blogger vacation. It takes so long to download pictures on our slow computer, sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it. But the boys are sleeping and the house is mostly clean so I guess I can make the time to blog today.

We went out and about with Grandmother this morning and the boys got spoiled rotten by getting a book AND a car each at TJ Maxx ...whoa ... that doesn't happen too often :) We also tried a new pizza buffet place kinda like CC's Pizza and it was great! Andrew loved his club crackers ... wouldn't touch a piece of pizza for anything. He's such a mess! Not quite sure how to get the little fella to eat a variety of foods.

The other night Andrew climbed into Spencer's bed because he saw a book he wanted and ended up not being able to get back out. And Spencer loves trying on any kind of shoes. Mom brought these boots over the other day for me to try and Spencer LOVES them. I told him they're a little too big for him and all he says is..."No...they fit me." Whatever floats his boat :)




Mom's birthday was on August 21. We stopped by her office and surprised her with a balloon and some flowers. When we got there though, two others had beat us to the punch with flowers. She must be pretty special or something :)




Spencer enjoyed her birthday gift I think as much as she did :)

And he definitely got all tied up somehow in her long phone cord and couldn't get out. I guess he got a little too excited and wasn't paying much attention.







That night we went out to dinner at LHOP to celebrate and had a great time. We were also celebrating Susan's birthday as well, so they both got their wishes as they blew out the candles.

Last Friday, Spencer and Andrew got to see their first movie, CARS, with Shannon and Eli. They behaved quite well for 2 year olds and a 2 hour movie. I was surprised. I forgot my camera but you can go to Shannon's blog and see their cute picture in front of the poster for CARS.

Shaun's been working on the weekends on our house downtown and they've done a lot of demolition ... and they've also done a lot of building as you can see from the stairs Shaun built. They have turned it back into a one family home instead of the duplex it was. It's been a slow process getting things done, but the thing is they're getting done :)

I guess that's about it...we've had lazy days with the rain, and fun, activity packed days the past couple of weeks. Hope everyone's having a good middle of the week...one more day closer to the weekend. YEAH!! Chao!
