last week...

Here's a couple of highlights from the past week. My cousin Maddie turned 6 and had a luau birthday party ...

We went to Shaun's parent's house last week and enjoyed some time at the beach. We met Shannon and her kiddies at Oak Island one of the days and had a great time. My boys were a little whiny...sand in eyes, the waves were a little scary ... but we enjoyed the sights and smells of the ocean. The boys loved picking up some shells along the beach and listening to see if they could hear the ocean in Gran's big conch shells. One of the days, we went to the Ocean Isle Community Center where they have kid activities every day for a couple of hours...kinda like a free summer camp for all the visitors and locals. The day we went, the theme was "pirate day" so they made their own eye patches and hats to wear, sang some songs, saw and learned about a parrot, and went on a treasure hunt on the beach. The boys were a little shy but we got them to at least participate a little bit :)

I'll have to finish up the rest of the highlights tomorrow when I download the rest of my pictures on the computer. There's some pictures from the Portrait Innovations shots we did last Friday, Spencer's soccer adventures at the Plex, the wedding we went to today at the Columbia Temple, and a few more.
