my birthday

When I woke up on Wednesday, everyone was still sleeping, so I had a quiet few minutes to myself. That was a birthday present in itself :) Then I came downstairs and into the kitchen and I was pleasantly surprised that Shaun had decorated the kitchen with balloons, confetti, and a birthday banner. My gift and card were on the table. It's always nice when they remember your birthday before the day of :) Then Mom brought me some flowers over before she left for work, so I was feeling pretty special. That's what families are for!

During the day I took the boys to story time, went to Sandhills, and then spent some time with my grandparents because they had just gotten back from Utah and Idaho and were about to go nuts wanting to see the boys. Then that night our family went out to Olive Garden for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We lucked out because they were having the neverending pasta bowl...YUMMY! Overall I had such a great birthday! I contemplated some of the things I have accomplished in my life and things I still need to accomplish. I contemplated what makes me, me ... the good and the bad. There's always room for improvement :)

Thanks to everyone that made my day so great and all the fun surprises! I am SO blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!
