sweet weekend

The past couple of days have been awesome. Shaun took the Spencer and Andrew to a Tractor and Farm show on Saturday, so it left just me and Carson at the house. I asked Shaun if he took any pictures and this is his only picture...not one single picture of the boys, just a horse. The boys were so excited to see their favorite things ... tractors ... and I got tons of things done here on the homefront. So everybody was happy!

Yesterday was a great Sunday. After church we spent the whole day at my grandmother's house. The boys actually took a nap at her house for once...Spencer did while Grandaddy was reading him a story, and Andrew just passed out in Mom's arms on the swing. After their naps, they took some food to the goats across the street in the golf cart, and then Grandaddy brought out the scooter and bike for them to ride. Those boys are spoiled absolutely rotten.
Carson is starting to get into everything now that he's found out he can maneuver himself around. I know...he's taken a little longer than some to reach these milestones...but I knew he would get around to it one of these days :) He pulls himself up on anything he can find. He started crawling today, trying to get his sippy cup. He just needed a little motivation, that's all :) It's amazing what a difference a week can make.

Spencer and Andrew for the most part have played well the past couple of days. Today, other than an incident at the library for storytime, they spent hours without arguing or fighting, just playing with each other. I am so grateful for moments like that! We were outside today and it was absolutely perfect weather!! I wish it would stay like this all the time! I needed to trim the grass around the boys' playset, so I went and got the push mower and wasn't exactly sure how to crank it up, because Mom and Shaun usually do the grass cutting. Spencer was right behind me once he heard me say I was going to get the lawnmower and showed me a couple of buttons I needed to push, and I wasn't quite sure that was the right thing to do. So I called Shaun and asked him how to crank the lawnmower, and do you know Shaun told me the exact same thing that Spencer was trying to tell me all along to do. Spencer knows his stuff when it comes to lawnmowers :) Maybe next time I'll listen to him and not question that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Anyways...hope everyone has a great week!!!
