I think we all had a wonderful Easter Sunday. I really felt the spirit at church and such gratitude for the sacrifice our Savior made for each one of us. The talks made me grateful that even though I make mistakes daily, I can be forgiven and start anew. During our Relief Society meeting, the teacher taught the lesson on one of my favorite talks given in the last October General Conference, and it was entitled, " Quench Not the Spirit " Every time I read and reread this talk, it makes me reevaluate my life and what I am doing and what I can do better.
Spencer sang for his first time as a sunbeam in sacrament meeting last Sunday. I think the only reason he really got up there and attempted to sing was because I told him that if he didn't, he wouldn't get to look for easter eggs after church. Talk about motivation for the little fella...he broke through his shyness real quick and went up on stage willingly and sat by his teacher. And although he didn't sing a note ( he told me before that he would sing the words he knew, only because he didn't know the song they were singing ), he still made the effort...that's progress for him :)
After church, we had a feast at my Grandmother's house and enjoyed a few more easter egg hunts with the boys and just enjoyed being together as a family. I think I am done with easter egg hunts though for a while...thank goodness easter only comes once a year :) Valencia has some cute pictures as well on her blog of all our festivities!
That afternoon, Shaun and I took the boys for a little ride...a 2 hour ride...so they would fall asleep and so we could have a conversation without interruptions, and it was successful.
So...I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday as well as we did!
