Happy Birthday Andrew!!

Andrew has had a birthday weekend that carried over into today. We went to Shaun's parents this past weekend and Andrew had the time of his life riding tractors and horses, and feeding the seagulls at the beach. We all had a great time as usual. He had a birthday "party", even though it was really Shaun's dad's birthday Saturday...so we thank Mike for sharing his birthday with Andrew.

Today we really had a fun time together. I wanted to make Andrew's birthday special, and I think that he felt it was. Shaun had left 3 balloons downstairs before he left with little sayings on them... Andrew was way excited. We went to the library for storytime, then to ChickFilA...then on to Target, picked up the birthday cake, and our final stop before heading home was at Petsmart. We started out just looking at guinea pigs, then we ended up coming home with one. Andrew was excited that he had gotten one like Spencer got for his birthday. It's always fun for me to listen to their conversations in the car, when they think I'm not listening...and I always try hard to pretend like I'm not listening so they open up a little more. It was especially fun today listening to them in the backseat talking about what kind of guinea pig Andrew was going to get.

Tonight we ended Andrew's birthday at San Jose, a place he chose, with good company...our family. He got his usual...cheese quesadilla and rice... and then we had birthday cake. They were so pooped when we got home, they didn't really even wake up when we put their pjs on. NICE... Jenny has some great pictures on her blog of the event at San Jose's since I forgot my camera.

So, I hope Andrew had a great birthday...I sure had fun spending it with him. And thanks to everyone for the birthday shoutouts to him. I know he might not seem at times that he appreciates the attention, but deep inside, I'm sure he does. He's just a little shy on showing it.
