Okay....I am not sure anyone even reads this blog anymore, since it's been FOREVER since I've posted ANYTHING. Spencer has finished the first half of kindergarten, so he survived the first day if you're wondering. He loves going to school. At one point he even asked why they don't have school on Saturdays and Sundays :)
Andrew has surpassed any of my expectations in adjusting to preschool. He still has days every now and again where he thinks if he whines and cries I'll give in and he won't have to go to school, but he's wrong. I think underneath his mean looks, he secretly loves going to school every.single.day, and wouldn't have it any other way. He loves to learn and has participated way more than I think Spencer ever did. He even sang in the Christmas program and did the hand motions to all the songs. I was impressed.
Carson has really enjoyed going to his preschool class as well. He goes 3 days a week while I am working in the other 2 year old class. He is a different child at school...he pays attention, cleans up after himself and everyone else. Can I have that same child at home too? He loves to sing, and sings all day long. He craves attention and has to make sure he's silly enough to make Spencer and Andrew laugh. He keeps Shaun and I rolling too :)
These past few months have been an adjustment. I started working part time at the preschool 3 days a week and I didn't think that only working a few days a week would make that much of a difference, but it seems as if I'm in the road all the time and I hardly have time for maintenance of the household. This Christmas break was a welcoming holiday...both for me and the boys. I have enjoyed just being their mom and not having anywhere particular to go. I am usually in my pajamas until after lunchtime, and some days don't even leave the house. But I am content. We'll be back in the grind soon enough :)
Just a few things that I don't want to forget...
*When Carson sings London Bridge, the last part he sings, "Laughing Lady", instead of "My Fair Lady"
*Almost every meal the boys ending up in giggling until it hurts, and it is usually instigated by Carson
*Andrew just HAS to tuck his pants in his cowboy boots and insists that he looks "pretty" that way and the other way looks ugly.
I'll try to play catch up by months in pictures the next couple of posts. So don't delete my blog from your reader yet :)
