a full day

Yesterday was a great Sunday. The meetings at church were inspirational and I really felt the Spirit. After church I had to do a couple of things for relief society, meet with the bishop about a couple of things, and I didn't get over to my grandmother's house for lunch until 2:30. Everyone had already eaten and were just about ready for a nap. We hung out for a while, rode Spencer around the church on the golf cart a million times...me and everyone else that he could convince to ride him...then we rode the missionaries' food down to them on the golf cart. We had a bb gun and a stick ready just in case we got chased by dogs again. My cousin Ethan was the one driving...and he said he could shoot and drive at the same time. Needless to say...I'm glad we didn't have to do any shooting.

After our adventures at grandmother's house, we came home around 4:30. Spencer fell asleep in the car again and stayed asleep until almost 7. So he didn't get to bed until almost 10:30 last night. I got a little nap in as well...so I can't complain.

Today we had a fun day. Jenny, me and the boys went to get tickets to go see the Finding Nemo Disney on Ice Show at the Colonial Center this morning around 11 or so. Then we went to the zoo since it was such a nice day. Tomorrow's supposed to be not so nice so we wanted to take advantage of the good weather. It was almost a little hot but we had a great time. Then we went to eat lunch at one of my favorite places to have pizza and a salad...Grecian Gardens. It's right outside of downtown Columbia...and a little like Lugoff House of Pizza. Just a little change of scenery. We don't get out on that side of town hardly anymore since we moved from our house downtown...so it was nice. After lunch, we went and saw the ladies at Shaun's office. We haven't seen them since Andrew was just a couple of months old. I like to go see them occasionally so they can see how the boys have grown. I think they enjoy our visits as well. One of the ladies, Gayle, has always been out of the office when we have come by in the past. She always...has just left for a little while...and this time was no different...but she did come in just as we were about to leave and got to see the boys. Spencer was so shy and tired. He would hardly bring his head out of Jenny's shoulder so they could talk to him. I really need to work with him to not be so shy. I'm not really sure how to go about it...so that's one of my challenges as a mother. It's all good...

After we left their office, we went shopping for a little while at Target. Once the boys started getting a little grouchy, we decided it was time to leave and come home. On our way home, I got a phone call from my Grandmother letting me know that they were going to grill some hamburgers and hot dogs at my uncle's lake house and we were invited. They were going to be there around 6 or so, so we made plans to have dinner there. Jenny and I took the boys there, since Shaun wouldn't be home until 7, and we ate and just brought a plate home to Shaun. Spencer and Andrew both were wide open tonight...surprisingly...since they hadn't had their full naps today...but they're both snoozing right now and that is such a peaceful sight.

We had a full day...and I'm a little sleepy now...so I better get to bed. Lately, Andrew has been waking up right after Shaun leaves in the morning, around 6:30, and that comes early...but I hope everyone's doing good...

Certainly does sound like a full day! I'm sure the boys loved the zoo. I'm enjoying your blog - excited to hear more!
