feeding time at the zoo

Today has been such a lazy day for me. It's been a good Sunday though. While we were watching General Conference, Shaun was eating his lunch and Spencer and Andrew smelled the food and came running to him on the couch. The title was Shaun's quote, "Well look...it's feeding time at the zoo."

It's almost an everyday occurance...Shaun gets his food on the plate, Andrew and Spencer both follow after him until he sits down on the couch. Then Spencer wrenches his way onto the couch right beside his daddy and Andrew just perches up on his daddy's knee waiting for any little fork full his way. Too funny. I guess we won't get any peace at dinner time for a while :) j/k. I think it's hilarious because most of the time it's Shaun's food they want.

The first picture of Andrew is where he's started the process of eating a noodle. I have never seen a baby slurp up a noodle so quick. I don't know if you can see the noodle but it's a good 7 inches long. The next picture is about 5 seconds later...the noodle's gone. :)

I didn't get any pictures of our flower garden yet...I need to finish it completely first and then we'll post a picture.

On Saturday we went to Spencer Spradley's birthday party and it was a blast. The highlight for me...other than Spencer getting the puppy...was that my Spencer finally got over some of his fear and slid down the slide. It might not seem like such a big deal but every time we have gone to the playground, he's always just been an onlooker. He still needed a little bit of encouragement from me and needed a hand to hold the first couple of times but I was proud of him for taking the plunge. He's not very assertive and so the other kids went a hundred times in front of him...but it was good to see him trying.

Well...tomorrow's the start of another week. Hope y'all have a great Monday!

I'm glad to see other kids do this - I thought we were crazy parents who started a bad habit. It's like Emery's a puppy waiting at our feet for food. Can't help but laugh!
