good times

Really not quite sure where to start. We've done a lot of things the past couple of weeks. I just haven't got around to blogging them. I guess pictures tell a story, huh...

Every morning Spencer and Andrew get on the couch to look at "Nana" leave and go to work. She always beeps the horn a million times and both of the boys chime in and say "beep beep".

Last Friday we went to my cousin Maddie's luau birthday party. I forgot my camera at the party, but Spencer kept his hula skirt and all the leis on the whole ride home so I was able to snap a couple of pictures. The next morning, Shaun put on Andrew's "outfit" that he wouldn't wear at the party, and Spencer had to go upstairs and get his...so we were able to get a few more pics. Crazy boys...

Spencer and Andrew are really starting to want what the other one has!! We went outside to play last week and Andrew was in the car first, but Spencer didn't rest until he could play with it too...

Another one of their fun days was riding in the "boat" which consisted of taking out most of the stuffed animals out of the laundry basket they were in and going for a boat ride in the water...the things they come up with.

On Wednesday I had asked Spencer what he wanted to do...and of course he said..."see animals at zoo"...I'm not quite sure why I ask him all the time because most days that's what he says. I thought I could detract that adventure by taking him to the park but he kept on insisting that we go to the zoo...so we ended up going. My main goal was to take pictures of the animals so I could put the pictures in a photo album I was making for them, and that goal got accomplished, so it was all good...except for the heat :) Here's the picture of a flower I found near the flamingos that I loved. It's our screen saver now...I'm sure Shaun likes looking at the pink :)

Before we went to the zoo, I was feeding Andrew in his high chair and one of my friends called so I was on the phone with her for a little bit and in the mean time, Andrew fell asleep drinking his milk. And I just let him sleep on...for an hour and a half. He didn't look too uncomfortable so why not :)

On Friday, I had my little helpers cleaning along with me. What big boys!

Ashley and Emery came over that afternoon and Spencer was excited to show her every toy that he had. This was one of those toys...a horse that you push his ear and he starts moving his nose and singing...I think...the Lone Ranger song. Emery was a little afraid and made the cutest faces...she ended up touching the horse's nose after a little coaxing from her mommy.

Andrew has fallen asleep in the weirdest places lately. I was playing with Spencer in our playroom and I had a movie going in the living room and I thought Andrew was watching the movie...but he had found him a little spot where he could take a nap...on top of the pillow and blankets Shaun's Dad had slept on Friday night. It was only 9:30 in the morning, but I guess he was pooped :)

Shaun, his brother Scott, and his Dad worked on the house downtown on Saturday. The boys and I went and got pizza for lunch and went to the library in Blythewood. That's the first time I have taken them to the library and they did relatively good for the most part. Spencer knows how to whisper...Andrew definitely does not...and when he wanted to talk...he did. We found a lot of books about trucks and trains...so they were well entertained. We'll have to go back there sometime.

That night we went to Rob's birthday party and had a great time. There was GREAT food that we definitely enjoyed, and the company was even better. Some good laughs were involved. :)

Here's a picture of Spencer that says...these are the times that keep me going. Every night after he gets in his bed...he has been going on and on for a good 30 minutes saying..."I love you mommy...sweet dreams mommy...night night mommy..." over and over again. So sweet...it definitely makes you forget about all the negative things that may have gone on that day. Like I said...that's what keeps me going some days.

I guess that's about it. We've been busy the past week or so... and it's been fun. I hope everyone had a great weekend! We sure did!
