pure joy

We've had a good week. The weather was rather nasty for a few days but by the weekend it was pure bliss...not too hot and not too cold.

This morning a few of us got all the items together from our service project ready to head out to their destinations tomorrow. Here's the little hats with the animals on them as well as crocheted bags. And I had to include a picture of the doll that we made clothes for, to kinda dress it up a little and make it more "beautiful" ...if that can be done :)

Grandmother kept the kids for me while we loaded up the stuff and afterwards I went to get them and found that they were definitely enjoying her company...on the golf cart and the swings. She's so good to them!!

Yesterday Andrew had his 15 month checkup...only a month late... I had called to make the appointment a few weeks before he turned 15 months and this was the ONLY date they had available...I'm sure. Oh well...he cried the whole time the doctor even looked at him...or a nurse either. He has a phobia of anyone with scrubs on. As you can tell by the photo...he was waiting to get his shots and just ready to give dirty looks to the nurse administering them. Not quite sure what to do with him...just hoping he outgrows this whining/crying phase.

I have to go for my checkup tomorrow...a few weeks late as well...but we were in Shallotte when I got a phone call from Shaun letting me know the doctor's office had called and my doctor wasn't going to be there on the Friday I was scheduled to come in. They could schedule me in on Thursday morning...but we would have had to cut our trip short. So after my doctor's vacation was over, they could see me again...and that's tomorrow.

On Sunday morning, Shaun was getting the boys some breakfast and he looked out our kitchen window and saw two baby deer in our back yard. I've never seen any deer in the yard, especially baby ones. They were adorable! Spencer has been talking about the deer for a couple of days now.

Spencer thought he was trying to get rid of Andrew so he could ride by himself...but I rigged it so Andrew could ride too :)

Andrew found Shaun's bucket hat in our room and he was the cutest trying to get that thing on so it fit just perfectly...he finally succeeded :)

And here's some more outside pictures...Spencer was helping me wash the car on Saturday...or was he just playing in the suds bucket? He's the best tire washer there is though...you could eat off the tops of the tires, he scrubs them so much. And here's Spencer the gardener, helping me pick the weeds out of the flower garden.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

How cute are these pictures? Looking at them reminds me of all the things we use to do. Boys are so much fun. Always ready to work and get dirty. Looks like fun! We can't wait to see what we are having next...in January of course.

Ginger, your boys are just precious! I can't wait until Trent can walk and help out too. If he is anything like Emma, I will have it made {they can do alot of the chores!} :)
