no girls allowed

I laugh everytime I think about the Sunday that Spencer came upstairs while I was in the shower and started shouting something I couldn't really understand about "No Girls Allowed". I just blew it off, and finished showering, got out, got ready for church, and then Spencer started laughing again and said that he had to show me something. I go to the front door and he had these signs taped to the front door that meant that girls weren't allowed in this house because the boys were having a party. Me, being the only girl in the house, assumed they were talking about me :) I tried to correct him, saying that Mommies could be allowed to the party but not any other girls. He just wouldn't have it though.

I guess I was just impressed that he thought of this all by himself. He wrote everything out by himself without any help from Shaun. He didn't know how to write, "No Girls Allowed" so he started with the only word that he knew how to spell and that was "STOP"...thanks to all the stop signs on the road, he learned that one quickly...and he got as far as "NO" on the other sign.

I walked around to the back door, and proceeded to go and tell Mom something, and he had posted another sign on that door...I guess to make sure he got both entrances to the house covered.

When I went over to her house, Spencer followed right behind me so he could post another sign that said "GO" on her door, but he spelled it "OG", and mentioned that the girls were only allowed at his Nana's house and couldn't come to the party at his house. (I didn't get a picture of this sign)....He was a busy little boy before church :)

Oh well...I guess Shaun has taught him early to be cautious of girls at an early age. We still need to get it straight though that Mommies ARE allowed :)
P.S. Spencer is absolutely loving school and has turned into a "chatterbox" is what his teacher told me today. So that's progress from being almost a mute, to letting the teachers know that he does know how to speak and actually enjoying himself.

Little kids are so funny! Kylie has a sign on her door that allegedly says "no boys allowed".

I have a hard time reconciling "Spencer the chatterbox" with "Spencer, the shy boy at the library"! He's so cute, though - that really cracks me up!

Wow! I want Spencer in my class if he can spell. Maybe he can teach some of my kids how to write.

I'm almost positive Emery provoked the "No Girls Allowed". I certainly do not blame Spencer for such great, well-needed signs. lol. :)

That is pretty dang funny! I guess we'll have to have more "OG" (only girl) nights out so that he can have only boys at his house! I'm still laughing...
